No one needs to be persuaded how important safety is. Every young person should be equipped with the knowledge on the principles regarding road safety and first aid. For a number of years the “Safety Olympics” has been an effective tool of road safety promotion. The first edition of the Olympics was held in 2007; then it was held under the banner of “Road Safety Olympics – A Class Safety”.

This year’s qualifying round for the voivodeship finals brought together 140 kids from as many as 34 Kielce Poviat’s primary schools. Having sat the theoretical test, the contestants were supposed to compete at the bicycle-rodeo. This part of contest was staged in the Targi Kielce underground parking lot.

The best contestants will enter the voivodeships games; the final phase is also to be held in Targi Kielce on 22nd November.
