At the  VIII Gas Engineering Fair EXPO-GAS  expo guests will have the chance to see the  Equalizer International's offer.

There is a wide and diversified product range of innovative tools for pipe flanges spreading, however  Secure  -  Grip TM  require special attention.

New SPO Compact-type flanges have been based upon a new technique under the ANSI, DIN, ASME, API and BS standard; with no access gap between the fying surfaces. There triggered the need to create new spreading tools for opening this type of flanges.

As a result the  Equalizer International  company has created the tool which uses a unique, patented expandable -sleeve technology. Thus a measurable, controlled force is produced, which is in turn used to separate flanges with an access slot and can also be applied for ANSI, DIN, ASME, API, SOP and BS flanges.

The sleeve is made of expandable segments with corrugated external surface which allows the sleeve to clamp in inside the bolt hole; this is to provide fro secure tool anchoring and the flange-spreading.

The mechanical tool is actuated with the use of actuator-rod mounted on the thrust bearing; this guarantees the torque transfer onto the opening force used to spread the flange. This force is transmitted onto the sleeve segments which in turn increases the sleeve elements engagement with screw-hole folds; grip is this reinforced until the required wedge-force. Then the flange planes will gradually star to come apart.

The Secure-GripTM tools range has been originally designed for the SOP compact flanges however they can be also used for other bolted flanges. The offer includes mechanically and hydraulically actuated tools as well as  on-line mounted versions.

If you wish toe learn more details of the Equalizer International, join the  Gas Engineering Fair EXPO-GAS, on 22 and 23 April in Targi Kielce.
