It is worth paying a visit to STOM and the 3D Printing Days - March 10-11
What does casting have to do with 3D printing technology? Quite a lot, in spite of seeming. It can be used on cutting-edge mould forming and metal print. As the part of the industrial expo cluster STOM held in March in Kielce, this type of solutions cut out for foundry industry will be presented within the scope of the 3D Printing Days.
- This year's edition will showcase, in addition to a whole array of exhibits printers which use metal for printing. Specialists - representatives of toolmakers shops, foundry moulding shops and casting houses ought really to visit this part of exhibition - says Piotr Pawelec, the March' STOM and the autumn METAL expo Project Manager. - We will present more than 120 printers in operation, they will be put on show by nearly 100 companies. You will see various types of printers and among them Selective Laser Melting based ones. The Selective Laser Melting technology allows to produce precise and uniform pieces of metallic materials such as: stainless steel, tool steel, titanium alloys, aluminium alloys, magnesium alloys, cobalt chrome and other metals which can be pulverized. Results of SLM process us can be compared to cast elements with regards density, strength and precision. Layer thickness range from 0.05 to 0.03 mm, pieces' accepted tolerances reaches 0.02 mm and a surface roughness is lower than 20 .mu.m. Components made in SLM process always have density of almost 100%, material properties are always consistent and homogeneous.
We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition. The 3D Printing Days - Targi Kielce, 10 and 11 March 2016.
