STEEL OR CONCRETE - THAT IS THE QUESTION!

The Polish Chamber of Steelworks and Road and Bridge Research Institute invite you to join the  conference designed to address the question "Road bridges of steel or concrete?" The session will take place on 31 May in Kielce. The conference will be held within the scope of  XXII International Fair of Road Construction Industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA.

 The conference has been designed to compare bridge constructions made of steel with those made of concrete (reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete). Both materials - i.e. steel and concrete have been commonly utilised for bridge; these have been in use for decades. Bridge constructions made of these different materials have their own characteristics; this will be reviewed at the meeting.

Furthermore, the problems related to bridge-scales, i.e. construction principle with regards to large and small span bridges will be delved into.

Following the many-year tradition, AUTOSTRADA-POLAND has proudly boated a strong support of the road sector's most important institutions.  This year's exhibition's programme also includes a debate organized by the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining as well as a discussion on the Road Industry White Paper. The latter will present the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Road Construction Industry.
