"ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKIE SPORT STARS"

The first plebiscite was organized sports in 1952 by "Słowo Ludu" daily. 1952's plebiscite presented the laurels to the later Olympic bronze medallist and three-time European champion in boxing Leszek Drogosz. Nick-named the "Ring Wizard", Drogosz won the plebiscite for as many as seven times. Among the coaches, the most acclaimed was Bogdan Wenta who has been awarded the title for as many as 6 times.

Foreigners have been the plebiscite winners only twice - in 2011 it was the Danish handball playerMarcus CleverlyThe coach with Russian and Spanish passports - Talant Duyshebaev has been granted the title at the two latest editions.
