TARGI KIELCE IN THE HEAR OF THE 590 CONGRESS DISCUSSIONS

The Congress held on 16 and 17 November in Jasionka, near Rzeszów brought together representatives of business, science, politics and public administration.  Among the speakers there were President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Beata Szydlo as well as Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

The 590 Congress which made its début last year owes its name to the bar code prefix which denotes goods manufactured or distributed by Polish companies.  The 590 ​Congress idea is to create a cooperation platform to boost and enhance Polish economy's dynamic development.  The list of the Congress guests included prominent figures from political, business, legal milieus, officers responsible for legal regulation development, entrepreneurs representing start-ups and small businesses  through the SME sector to large and listed companies.  The Congress was held under the honorary auspices of President Andrzej Duda who also spoke in one of the panels.

Kielce for business, business for Kielce  

Kielce Mayor Wojciech Lubawski and the President of Board at Targi Kielce Andrzej Mochoń were invited to participate in the event.  On the first day of the 590 Congress they took part in the "Entrepreneurs Friendly Cities" panel.  Among the speakers there were Adam Góral, President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.  The panellists discussed issues related to sustainable urban development, good conditions creation and support for entrepreneurship development and enhancement from self-government's institutions and local communities.  They also talked about how the business environment can become self-governments' ambassador on a global scale.  The panel was also the chance to present the role of Kielce and Kielce local community as entrepreneurship incubators and the fact that "city for business, business for the city" is a feedback loop beneficial for both parties; these were discussed by Wojciech Lubawski with the use of  Targi Kielce example.

TARGI KIELCE - the self-government's ambassador 

The fact that the business can be a local government's great ambassador in the global arena was emphasized during the 590 Congress by Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce. In terms of size, Targi Kielce is ranked second among Central and Eastern Europe's exhibition centre with its  75 expos held every year; most of these exhibitions are of  international nature. Targi Kielce is also the venue for 700conference per annum.  Every year, thanks to congresses and conferences Kielce hosts guests from 60 countries.  Targi Kielce is the home for such events as the world-famous :International Defence Industry Exhibition- MSPO,  PLASTPOL- the plastics processing trade show - foreign companies account tor more than 50 percent of exhibitors.  These and many expos and conferences organised by the Kielce exhibition and congress centre makes exhibitions industry Kielce's and Świętokrzyskie region's smart specialisation.
