ANDRZEJ MOCHOŃ PHD - TARGI KIELCE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD APPOINTED THE FIRST EVER CHAIR OF THE KIELCE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY’S COUNCIL
The council has been created pursuant to the Act on Science and Higher Education amendments. The new regulations stipulate that a formal council will be formed in every public university. A board is composed of six to eight people, 50% of those who sit on panel are from outside the university. The Kielce University of Technology Council is composed of seven members. - This is a immense distinction and responsibility for the future of one of the best technical universities in our country - said Andrzej Mochoń PhD., President of the Council. - This is also another step in tightening cooperation between higher education institutions and entrepreneurs - he added.
The University Council’s main objectives and responsibilities include opinion issuing on the university's strategy and statutes, the financial management of the university monitoring, the university management monitoring - this encompasses nomination of candidates to hold the rector position, issuing opinions on the university's strategy implementation and performing other tasks specified in the statutes.
The council , in addition to its head, also comprises Engineer Anna Chomicz-Kowalska, PhD. hab., Engineer Jarosław Gawdzik PhD. hab., Engineer Włodzimierz Makieła PhD. hab., Konstanty Kamionka, president of the KH-Kipper company, Leszek Walczyk, president of the "Metal-Cast" Metal and Foundry Company and the chairman of students self-government Mateusz Rogacki.
