The Monitoring Committee met on 18th December in Targi Kielce; the session was held within the scope the monitoring and realisation assessment process of the City of Kielce’s Development Strategy for the years 2007 – 2020. “The role of Targi Kielce in the Kielce region’s economy stimulation through utilisation of the existing potentials and the City’s competitive advantages” was the leading theme of the assembly.

The proceedings brought together the deputy mayor of Kielce Tadeusz Sayor, the Targi Kielce cluster director Mirosław Hejduk, Dariusz Salwa – the Deputy Director for Structural Projects and City Strategy, Jacek Semaniak the Jan Kochanowski Universoty Rector, Dorota Tekieli – Bisińska of Staropolska Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Zbigniew Czekaj of MZD Kielce, Władysław Boberek the Deputy Director of the City’s Spatial Planning Bureauin the Kielce City Hall, Małgorzata Kowalczyk – the Head Specialist of Structural Projects and City Strategy and the Targi Kielce Board –Andrzej Mochoń PhD – Targi Kielce President and the deputy president Bożena Staniak.

The meeting participants were discussing on, inter alia on Strategy realisation and monitoring, the Targi Kielce’s position on the domestic and European arena as well as competitiveness enhancement of the companies which conduct their business activity in the region as the objective the Grono Targowe Kielce (Kielce Trade Fair Cluster) activity. The discussion on the Targi Kielce’s plans operating as the congress and exhibition centre and its influence on Kielce’s and the Kielce Functional Area’s competitiveness increase concluded the discussion.
