Specialists discuss freshwater fish advantages - 27 November in Kielce
Health and nutritional of freshwater fish - these and many other topics that will be discussed on 27 November by business-insiders gathered at the Targi Kielce for the Inland Fisheries Congress.
The World Health Organization recommends eating fish 2-3 times a week - this is a form of prevention against many food-dependent diseases. A diet rich in fish is health-promoter regardless the age. Freshwater fish, e.g. carp, trout, pike or walleye are mainly recommended for elderly people and children. With a high concentration of omega 3 acids, they affect the nervous system. It has been demonstrated that fish boost intellectual abilities. Fish is also an excellent source of easily digestible proteins. Freshwater fish have become a more popular part of Polish menus. Freshwater fish nutritional qualities have gained recognition. Alongside the carp, mainly associated with Christmas, we have been eating lots of trout, including rainbow trout which has recently become fashionable. Out of all freshwater fish, trout offers tasty, lean meat and the highest concentration of omega 3.
The congress organizer - the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal Office has managed to acquire interesting speakers for the conference. Health-related aspects of freshwater fish will be presented by Jan Żelazny PhD of Pulawy National Veterinary Research Institute. A lecture on the nutritional qualities of freshwater fish will be delivered by Engineer Grzegorz Bienkiewicz PhD from the Faculty of Food Sciences and Fisheries, West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin
