The "Safe Stadium" conference has been held for the seventeenth time in Targi Kielce. Sport, football clubs and institutions responsible for the safety and security at sporting events have been brought together. The event was also attended by Zbigniew Boniek - the President of Polish Football Association, the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Witold Bańka and the Police Commander in Chief Jaroslaw Szymczyk
This year's "Safe Stadium" conference was filled with a very positive atmosphere. From the very beginning the speakers kept returning to an important moment for Polish football - the national team's promotion to the World Championships which will be held in Russia in 2018. The meeting guests also emphasized the fact that Polish stadiums are getting safe. Yet no one intends to setlle on laurels. The discussions that took place in the Omega Hall of the Targi Kielce's Congress Centre were designed to prosper for new solutions to keep enhance safety and security.
The program of this year's conference included: summary of the UEFA EURO U21 tournament which was held in June in the six Polish cities.
Nearly 400 representatives of football milieus and institutions responsible for safety at stadiums were brought together in Kielce. The special guest of the meeting was the UEFA representative Mr Marc Timmer.
The conference culminated in the annual Fair Play Gala. Before that the president of the Polish Football Association Zbigniew Boniek, the Minister of Sport and Tourism Witold Bańka and Police Commander in Chief Jaroslaw Szymczyk responded to media questions at the press conference.
