The second PER ARTEM AD DEUM CONFERENCE is to be held soon.   The Per Artem Ad Deum Conference is the continuation of the the Pontifical Council for Culture's idea to award the Medal.  The Medal laureates contribute to the culture and art development in a unique and lasting way, they deepen the dialogue between people of different nationalities and they through Art bring people closer to God.  The conference features the laureates and well-known personalities associated the church and spiritual art. They share their perspective and experiences.

People interested in art and spiritual art, lovers of good cinema and all who want to meet interesting personalities from the world of culture and art are invited to join the conference.

About the Participants

  • Rev. professor Marek Lis - a Catholic priest, habilitated doctor of theological sciences, associate professor at the University of Opole,  co-editor of the World encyclopedia of religious films.
  • HE Bishop professor Michał Janocha - an arts historian, associate professor at the University of Warsaw and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Chairman of the Council for  for Culture and  Heritage Preservation.
  • Professor   Jan Andrzej Kłoczowski - a Dominican, a theologian and a professor of philosophy. He teaches philosophy of God and religion as well as the 19th and 20th century philosophy history at the College of Philosophy and Theology of the  Dominicans in Krakow.  The Per Artem ad Deum Laureat in 2018.
  • Father Michał Legan PhD. OSPPE - a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, an expert in the field of cinematography.
  • Irina Tatarova PhD. - an assistant professor at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research "Artes Liberales" of the University of Warsaw.  She deals with sacred art as a part of broadly defined tradition, films and philosophical analysis of cinematic works.
  • Aleksander Sokurov - a Russian director and screenwriter, the winner of the Golden Lion at the 68th  Venice International Film Festival for his adaptation of theFaust.  By the resolution of the European Film Academy, Sokurov was pronounced one of the 100 best directors.  The Per Artem ad Deum Laureat in 2018.
