Saturday at Targi Kielce was held under the banner of the XIII International Dog Show. This year's edition's the highlights - obedience show - sports obedience demonstrations presented by the discipline-masters: the Belgian Shepherds Gandi Frombos and Hajd Kiling Machine
All visitors to the Kielce exhibition and congress centre had the opportunity to savour the presentations and shower with applause the dogs that staged a series of drills aimed at demonstrating discipline and obedience. The whole array of tasks included fetching, walking at the heel, a group-stay without a guide, olfactory tasks to find and bring a selected object recognised by its scent. Although the competition was not easy, both Gandi Frombos and Hajda Kiling Machine dealt without any problems, without being stressed by the many observers. The instructions were given by the dog-guides: the world champion Agnieszka Leszczyńska and Sylwia Szugzda, the vice-champion. As befits the masters, they all performed with incredible accuracy, speed, energy and devotion. Each task completed was showered with torrential applause from the audience. The dogs were praised by their owners. Therefore the obedience shows offer also a great opportunity to have fun and build a proper relationship between the owner and the dog. Thus the show was a strong confirmation of the bonding aspect of the obedience exercise.
The International Dog Shows in Targi Kielce continues until Sunday.
