Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD at the Targi Kielce’s Congress Centre gala opening
On 28th August the Omega auditorium, the largest of 8 halls housed in the new Congress Centre was filled to the last seat. Almost 700 guests called in Targi Kielce in order to take part in the new venue’s spectacular opening ceremony; the new facility has been completed in less than two and a half years. In the auditorium there were Members of Parliament, Voivodeship and City authorities’ delegates as well as guests of honours representing business and arts milieus.
- The investment we have just completed has changed the face of Targi Kielce; not only has it altered its business profile – from a B2B exhibition organiser we have developed to become a trade fair and conference centre. With this new facility available we shall be aided in our attempts to bring new guest into Kielce. ¬– said Targi Kielce’s President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD in his welcome address to the guests gathered at the ceremony – Not only have we developed the Congress Centre with the Targi Kielce’s needs in our mind; this has also been built for the benefit of the City of Kielce and its inhabitants. We want to make you feel at home here as the Centre has been designed for the benefit of us all. We are open for conference and congress organisers as well as for those who want to use the venue for their family functions and jubilee gatherings.
We wish to make Kielce an innovative city; this investment is an enormous leap forward. – said Mayor of Kielce Mr Wojciech Lubawski – Targi Kielce is our pride. Our flagship has gained recognition not only in Poland; it has also been our ambassador in Europe and in the world. – Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal Adam Jarubas reassured about his support.
Targi Kielce Board and staff also received congratulations form Elżbieta Lublińska Kasprzak; the President of Polish Agency for Enterprise Development also attended the ceremony.
The Congress Centre opening gala featured a spectacular laser-light show accompanied with strong, electronic music as well as a superb performance of Henryk Tomaszewski Wroclaw Theatre of Pantomime. The world-famous theatre company put on stage the two shows – “The House of Bernarda Alba” inspired by Federico García Lorca’s texts and “The Paper Hunters” based on Franz Kafka’s The Castle. The latter has been complemented with Wojciech Kilar’s music soundtracks of “The Summersault” and “The Crown Pearl”.
