THE DUKE AND DUCHESS AT TARGI KIELCE

Mieszko and Dobrawa, the first Piast dynasty Duke and Duchess and the 1050th anniversary of the baptism of Polish - this has been the source of inspiration for most unusual bell. The bell has been put on show at Kielce's SACROEXPO. The 220 kilogram bell was made in the Jan  Felczyński Bell-foundry just a month ago- in May 2015. Copper and tin alloy has been used for the bell.  Its d / 2 tone has been chosen on purpose as this is the expression of nobility and dignity. Bell ornaments are the clear reference to the Piast couple iconography and monuments.  There is an interesting fact related to the bell casting process. HE Archbishop Wojciech Polak, the Polish primate was present during the casting procedure abd has left his ring's imprint  in a bell.
