The grand product launch of SOLARIS at the TRANSEXPO exhibition

Undoubtedly this event was enormously exciting for all the crowd gathered to witness this event. Once the curtain dropped and unveiled the bus, the bus interior exploded with stroboscope flashes. This introduction was followed by the dance ensemble – a group of robots presenting the latest model of Solaris Bus & Coach.

„Electric” Urbino solely depends on electricity; starting from the eclectic motor to drive the bus through electric door drives and power steering to electric heating. The vehicle can drive up to 100 km/h. electricity is provided from the battery. Solaris Urbino is a 8,9 metre, low entry bus; the first Polish electric drive bus.

The market debut of the bus took place on the first day of the 9th International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO held in Targi Kielce. This is the biggest business sector event in Central and Eastern Europe. The 2011 edition has brought together 160 exhibitors from 11 countries of Europe as well as the United States of America.
