THE GREEN MOTORWAY FORUM - ALREADY THIS MAY IN TARGI KIELCE

The Green Motorway Forum took place on the first day of AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA in Kielce

One of the speakers was Maciej Żołnierczuk, a specialist in landscape protection from the Warsaw Museum of King Jan III's Palace in Wilanów. He talked about the challenges related to shaping low-level roadside vegetation. The forum also discussed the topics related to modern greenery design. The summer and winter road maintenance and roadside greenery procedures were discussed in addition to pollutants and arrangement of rest areas on the road route.

- Roadside greenery is topical and at the same time fascinating issue.  It can be said that over the last few years the  road infrastructure  sector in our country has developed ties with greenery design sector.  Earlier it was rather a detachment from nature. Technical or organizational  road construction  aspects were the subject of a more serious public debate, ecological issues are now understood by decision-makers - says Dominik Szymański, editor of the "Zielenie Miejska" monthly.

The forum was held for the first time as part of the AUTOSTRADA EXPO. The organiser of the event - the "Zieleń Miejska" [Cities Greenery] monthly.
