THE LAUNCH OF THE VINTAGE BUSES EXHIBITION HELD WITHIN THE SCOPE OF TRANSEXPO

The III IGKM Exhibition - VINTAGE BUSES held under the banner of "IKARUS uses of IGKM industrial assembly" is the showcase for a number of youngtimers. One of these is the D 435.05 model of 1993 the only one in Poznan. Fans call it "A White Lady" owing to its white-and-green bodywork colours which refer to Poznan traditions. Another bus on show is the Ikarus 260.59E of 1997 equipped with the Raba D10 engine - this competitive feature encouraged many cities to b opt for this vehicle.

Founded in 1980 the Association of public transport fans in Warsaw is the organization which takes care of historic buses and trams. The Club collects and protects exhibits and artefacts that document the public transport history. In the years 1999-2016 the organization has acquired the 24 vehicles, 20 of which have already been listed as objects of historical value. The Club's collection consists of San, Jelcz and Ikarus including models Ikarus - Zeman IK-160P of 1986 and Ikarus 260.04 of 1882, as well as exhibits from outside Warsaw acquired in cooperation with the Municipal Public Transport Enterprise in Krakow and Poznan Transport Enterprise.

The exhibition can be visited at the TRANSEXPO opening hours from 11 to 13 October.
