The opening ceremony of the laboratory which has been subsidised by the EU funds will take place on 23rd March 2011 at the largest technical university in the region. In the framework of the measure 2.1 “Innovativness development and support for didactic and research activity of universities and research and development institutions – the Regional Operational Programme of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship for the years 2007 -2013” 1,56 million PLN has been allocated for providing the equipment for this very institution. At the beginning of January the contract was signed by Adam Jarubas, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Mayor and the Rector of Kielce University of Technology Professor Stanisław Adamczak.

Owing to the EU support the university purchased the specialist measurement appliances, the state of the art machine tools and microscopes and thus the laboratories of the university have become the most modern in the Voivodeship.

The majority of the equipment which will be used to train and educate future specialists was purchased during the Fair of Industrial Measuring Technology CONTROL-STOM.
