THE POETRY SET TO MUSIC FESTIVAL HAS COMMENCED IN TARGI KIELCE

14 performers in the competitions, the two stars of the evening - the 7th National Festival of Poetic and Tourism Songs has just commenced

Fourteen artists will be performing in today's competition review. Tomorrow, the Gala Concert of the Lureates will feature all participants to give them the possibility to present their work. As pointed out by Tomek Rejmer, Director of the Białogon Culture Centre and the festival organiser, the artistic level this year is very high.

The National Festival of Poetic and Tourism Songs  "At Fireplace" Festival" has become a permanent fixture in calendars of those who lover  poetry set to music, tourist songs  and  shanties.  This year’s jury panel evaluates composition:  Jerzy Krużel, Piotr Frankowicz, Leszek Osterczy, Janusz Deblessem and.  Arkadiusz Szostak. According to the tradition. after the laureates' performances the stars of the evening will reign supreme on the stage tomorrow.   This year the  Omega Hall  stage will see  Groupa na Swoim  and Robert Kasprzycki with the band. performing live 

The "Przy Kominku [At the Fireplace]" Festival  is a treat not only for live music performances aficionadps. Thanks to the Vinyl and CD Exchange held in the   Targi Kielce Congress Centre  foyer on Saturday afternoon. Vinyl enthusiasts will be able to choose from 10,000 black discs and two and a half thousand CDs.  In addition, the listening zones makes it possible to listen to music with the sound quality as in the old good days.

The Christmas Fair gives the festival an unforgettable character. This is the place to taste regional delicacies, buy handicraft gifts and Christmas decorations. Nearly 50 exhibitors, including rural housewives clubs, local breeders, artists and owners of small enterprises will be showcasing here.

Admission for all events is - free of charge.
