MSPO - where prestigious awards are presented
The International Defence Industry Exhibition - where numerous prestigious awards and honours are presented. The last expo day - September 4th will see the awarding ceremony of Defenders Awards, the President of the Republic of Poland Awards, the accolades of the Minister of Economy and the Minister of National Defense, Border Guard honours and many others.
The day before the Defenders Awards presentation, the Association of Injured and Victims on Missions Outside the Country. awarded the Proud Veteran Statuette. This year the President of the Association Tomasz Kloc, the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of National Defence Beata Oczkowicz and General Andrzej Kasprowicz; the Chief Commander of Aeromobile and Motorised Mobile Forces presented the statuette for supporting institutions. This year it was bestowed on Polish Defensive Holding.
Association of Injured and Victims on Missions Outside the Country. was founded at the initiative of soldiers in active military service and reserve, who served in missions outside the country, were wounded, injured or whose problems stem directly from the fact of service outside the country.
Despite the fact that the Association has formally existed for less than five years, it can boast numerous achievements, including:
- the Association's cooperation with the Ministry of National Defence and the Parliamentary Special Sub-Committee which deals with the draft of the bill put forward by the government concerning veterans of outside-the-country missions - assistance in creation of the Act on Veterans of outside-the-country missions - this act specifies the veteran's and victim-veteran status and the privileges they are vested in this respect.
