Urban issues discussed in Targi Kielce
The second day of the Urban Policy Congress began by presentation of the opportunities and challenges facing Katowice, involved in World Urban Forum 2022. The main stage was the arena for the: Secretary of State at the Ministry of Investment and Development, Government Plenipotentiary for the organization of the World Urban Forum in 2022 in Katowice - Grzegorz Puda. Mayor of the City of Katowice - Marcin Krupa. Director of the Office of the Association of Polish Cities - Andrzej Porawski and Director of the Institute of Urban and Regional Development - Wojciech Jarczewski.
The issues discussed on the second day of the Forum includes management and placemaking, transport and mobility, space formation, housing. environment and adaptation to change climate.
The event participants are in for presentations prepared on urban inspirations kaleidoscopic sessions. Good practice presented after the sessions encompass: URBACT project as a new form of local government management and civic budget after changes.
The Youth Forum and smart city ideas, presentations i.e. smart cities and solutions for managing the development of the night-activities related economy in the city are a part of the agenda.
The Urban Policy Congress is complemented with such events as: the City Discussion Cinema in the Moscow Cinema as well as the city of Kielce study visits organised by the City Hall - the Kielce Technology Park and the Geopark Kielce are on the itinerary. The accompanying events list includes Hackathon Idea Kielce- an enterprise directed at programming and digitization enthusiasts, held on 16-17 November at Targi Kielce.
The event is organized by the Institute of Urban and Regional Development in conjunction with the Ministry of Investment and Development.
