THE ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKIE'S FIRST CONGRESS AMBASSADOR

On September 14, the Krakow's ICE hosted the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala organised by the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association, the Polnad Convention Bureau POT the Polish Tourist Organization, the City of Krakow, the Krakow Convention Bureau and the Krakow Festival Office – the ICE Krakow Congress Centre's operator

17 new ambassadors have joined the prestigious fellowship of those who make Poland famous and present it as a congress and conference destination.  Among this year's winners there has been the first of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship's representative.

This special distinction has been presented to professor   Marek Pajek PhD. Hab. of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce's Institute of Physics.

The professor together with the Targi Kielce's Congress Centre has organised the two conferences – the 43rd Polish Physicists Congress with over 600 participants from all corners Poland and 18th International Conferences on Physics of Highly Charged Ions with over 200 participants from all over the world.

The Ambassador of Congresses title

Nominations to award the Ambassador of Congresses honorary title have been put forward by Universities and the Polish Academy of Sciences' units as well as the milieus professionally associated with the meetings industry.  Once a year the Program Chapter that bringing together prominent figures of the Polish world of science, economy and culture approves of the candidates.  The Program Chapter is elected every 3 years. From among numerous candidates, the Chapter selects 20 Polish Congress Ambassadors.  Ambassadors are the people who promote and disseminate knowledge on strengths of our country in their international milieus. Thus they make their contribution in the decision making process and enhance Poland's chances to become the venue of the next international event.
