The Scale-Modelling Exhibition is the opportunity to see a whole array of the famous models of airplanes and water-born vessels
Flyer I, also called the Wright Flyer is one of the many exhibits. It was the first engine-powered aircraft in the world, its virgin flight took place in 1903. On 7 and 8 October Targi Kielce's MODEL KIT EXPO showcases the world's only flying model of this plane. This genuine construction is owned by the Kielce Museum.
The Messerschmit BF109 (wing-span of 1830 mm, gasoline engine 33 ccm powered, weight 7.5 kg) and Jak 54 (wing-span 2400 mm, petrol engine 60 cc powered, weight 8 kg) will also be showcased. All those who visit the Expo will have the opportunity to have a close look on the models of Łaowczkin Ła-9 (wing-span -1860 mm, petrol engine 33 ccm, weight - 7,5 kg) and also the model of Polish motor glider Pegasus - genuine construction (wing-span 2500 mm, electric drive). According to all indications, Kielce expo will also feature Swordfish, still under construction. It should be ready for Kielce expo in October (wing-span 2100 mm, petrol engine 30 ccm, weight about 10 kg).
In addition to flying models the Targi Kielce exhibition is the chance to admire many other mock-ups, including the floating Crab Catamaran (length - 1000 mm, sails 0.53 m2).
