Ennio Morricone earns the Academy appreciation
The Laureate of the Per Artem ad Deum 2012 Medal - Ennio Morricone has been honoured with the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the second time. The Italian composer has been recognized for his work on Quentin Tarantino's "Hateful Eight". Ennio Morricone upon receiving the Oscar, thanked his wife and other colleagues who were nominated.
In 2006 Ennio Morricone earned Oscar for lifetime achievement. Morricone is one of the most important film music composers. He is the author of soundtracks for nearly 400 films, including: "Mission" (directed by R. Joffe), "Once Upon a Time in America" (directed by S. Leone), "The Untouchables" (directed by B. de Palma), "Cinema Paradiso" (directed by G. Tornatore) and "Frantic" (directed by R. Polanski). In 2012m at Targi Kielce's International Exhibition of Church Construction, Church Fittings and Furnishings and Religious Art SACROEXPO Morricone was bestowed the Pontifical Council for Culture's Medal Per Artem Deum is bestowed.
