During the opening ceremony, apart from president of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochoń, delivering a speech, the floor was taken by Andrzej Ryba, president of the European Foundry Association as well as president of the Foundry Economic Chamber, and by Prof. Józef Szczepan Suchy, member of the Executive Committee of the World Foundry Organization. The professor is also dean of the Foundry Faculty of the University of Science and Technology (AGH) and president of the Central European Foundry Initiative. Moreover, he is chairman of the Programme Council of the METAL Fair.
The opening ceremony was officially conducted by Krzysztof Słoń, president of the Council of the City of Kielce.
The trade fairs dedicated to the foundry, non-ferrous metals and measuring technologies will be held for a period of 3 days, during which, the same as in previous years, many accompanying events, conferences and seminars will take place.
Among the exhibits there are products which immediately after the closure of the exhibition will be delivered to their new owners - who have already signed sales agreements - instead of being brought back to the companies. Representatives of this industry are unanimous that for foundry and metallurgy the future is bright.
