What is the idea behind ENEX expo cooperation with boilers manufacturers?

In recent days, the information that the Polish government adopted the anti-smog package during the government's session on 17 January 2017 was the hot news. The Council of Ministers adopted a set of solutions that will contribute to improving air quality in Poland. Poland's Prime Minister Beata Szydło announced consistent implementation of the solutions.

These measures include:

  • adoption of coal quality standards - the first quarter of 2017. Standards for boilers will be implemented at the latest in April 2017,
  • introduction of lower electricity prices used for heating purposes for in lower demand periods,
  • reduction in excise tax on hybrid cars and complete excise tax redemption for electric cars,
  • subsidies to replace old boilers,
  • the obligation to connect to the district heating network, wherever possible.

Measures and talks at government level should provide incentive more consumers to seek knowledge about that boilers that will soon be installed in their houses.

In October, Andrzej Gula, the president of the Polish Smog Alert spoke to GLOBEnerga magazine:

"For several years Polish Smog Alert has required the government to introduce quality standards for boilers that are sold on the Polish market. This is a very important regulation. It will help to eliminate polluting boilers from the Polish market. I.e. boilers that do not even meet the lowest emission standards for dust and other harmful substances. Poland has required such regulation for many years. As the result, every year Polish households buys over a hundred thousand out-of-class boilers commonly called  "smoke-generators" or "rubbish-burners".  Such a boiler mounted today will keep polluting the air for next 15-20 years.  This is why the regulation is so fundamental. It will prevent boilers that do not meet minimum emission requirements from being installed. "

Now we have learnt that the standards for boilers will be adopted even sooner than originally planned. The regulation draft has been ready for many months. It was supposed to come into force in 2018. It has been announced that the new laws will be effective before this year's heating season - in April 2017 at the latest. This means that the so-called  "smoke-generators" or "rubbish-burners" will not be installed before the 2017/2018 heating season.

ENEX 2017 - much more than boilers.

The two-day expo abounds with accompanying events. The 10th Jubilee National Heat Pumps and Heating Technology Forum. This event is held on the first day of the expo. The 7th  National Photovoltaics and Energy Storage Forum SOLAR + is staged on 2 March 2017.  The events provide a good opportunity to discuss the renewable energy role in combating low-altitude emission problem in Poland.

The latest information available on the expo web-site andfanpage at the Facebook social networking site. Stay tuned for the latest info. ENEX - the best way to keep up to date!

We look forward to seeing you at Targi Kielce on 1 and 2 March 2017.
