The biggest Poland’s National Exhibition of Young Pigeons and Small Livestock and the 42nd District Exhibition of Carrier Pigeons have brought to Kielce the most beautiful birds from all over Poland as well as Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The exhibition was formally opened by the deputy Marshal of Małopolskie Voivodeship Wojciech Kozak, who attends the exhibition at the invitation of Polish Association of Pigeon and Small Live Stock Breeders. Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal Adam Jarubas during the formal opening said that the breeders’ dedication and involvement into the exhibition organisation can be described with just one word: passion.
The president of Polish Association of Pigeon and Small Live Stock Breeders Jan Pajka highlighted that “National Exhibition of Young Pigeons and Small Livestock held in Kielce in 2011 is for many reasons exceptional. The profusion and significance the events which accompany the exhibition is also supplemented by the anniversary of Polish Association in addition to the gala Breeders’ Evening which encompasses the presentation of 20th anniversary medals of PZHGRiDI alongside with the flag-banner being accepted. The exhibitions are also complemented by foreign breeders’ presence, the Career Contest and the number of animals put on display which has broken the records with respect to all small-livestock exhibitions which have been held until now. The Kielce exhibition is attended by the guests form Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany as well as many other countries; and the incredible animals they exhibit have also entered the contests. We do hope that the guests we have the pleasure of entertaining in Kielce will take positive memories with them which will facilitate our further cooperation”.
The esteem the Kielce exhibition enjoys has also been highlighted in the address of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Marek Sawicki: “Breeders of different animals are associated in various organisations and federations, undoubtedly today’s events is their holiday. This event is the showcase to proudly present their achievements in breeding and benchmark them with their colleagues from home and abroad ”.
The opening ceremony was attended by Andrzej Sygut, Kielce deputy mayor, Tadeusz Ptak; the president of Kielce District of Polish Carrier Pigeon Association and Tomasz Osiński; the deputy president of the Board of Polish Carrier Pigeon Association
