YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE’S OF FURNITURE GAINS NEW LIFE - THE UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE WORKSHOPS AT TARGI KIELCE

Event guests will be introduced to DIY furniture restoration techniques and will learn how to give the furniture a completely new looks.  The training session is based on the master-disciple format, the curriculum puts practice at the top of priority list.  The workshop will be run by by Aleksander Kądziela MA.

The event’s Participants will use their own furniture to work on, the items will be available for their owners after the workshop.  E.g. a chair, a pouf, a small armchair type such as Chierowski, fox etc. 

The Furniture Workshop Programme 

1. Introduction  Getting to know furniture - history and technologies.  Getting to know decorative upholstery fabrics,  joinery and upholstery tools and traditional renovation methods. 
2. Decision about the works scope and detail in conjunction with the workshop participants
3. Demolition works.  Old fabrics removal and repair.
4. Replacement of padding, softs, belts, gluing, binding of springs.
5. Fabrics size measurement and calculations.
6. Setting up the sewing machine and the sewing process
7. Fabrics splicing and decorating.
8. Upholstery, decorative elements, buttons.
9. Final and cosmetic works, summary, a photo session.

* we do not take massive furniture pieces - take something you can finish in 14h *, take clothes which you can make dirty. Dress to feel of comfortable - sports shoes suggested  

THE PRICE INCLUDES ALL MATERIALS (fabrics - about 15 grades / colours, you can take your own fabric). All tools will be available on site.

• FIRST DAY: 10.00 -17.00
• SECOND DAY: 9.00 -16.00
