Today, 3D printing is one of the most rapidly developing industrial technologies. Further advancement prospects are very promising. This trend can also be seen at the annual 3D Printing Days - an inherent part of the Targi Kielce's Industrial Spring
The 3D Printing Days organized by the Innovative Technologies Association SIT Poland has advanced to be a Europe-wide event. The 3D Printing Days has also become one of the STOM expo's true highlights.
- For several years the global three-dimensional printing market's value has been growing rapidly. Last year 500,000 printers of the total value of 5 billion US dollars were sold globally. It is estimated that by 2020 there will have been the value of 20 billion. Is this really a start? Poland still has much to do - events like today's demonstrate our extensive potentials - said Andrzej Mochoń PhD, Targi Kielce President of Board during the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was the occasion to present special thanks to the 3D Printing Days founders.
Almost 1,200 square meters of exhibition space is the showcase for the 88 Polish companies which deal with spatial printing . The expo also hosted Michał Sołowow - a Kielce inhabitant listed among the richest Poles. Sołowow has recently taken over the industrial 3D printers manufacturer - 3DGence. 3DGence company is also one of the exhibitors.
One of this year's expo attractions is the printer that enables its users to make sgraffito. The device offers the old decorative technique for buildings in a new unveiling. It is expected that in the near future this computer-controlled device will be capable to covering the ten-storey building's surface with a relief.
