Jamis is an  American bicycle manufacturer  of road, mountain, street and triathlon bikes. Initially the company imported  bicycle parts and accessories from Europe into the United States. 1979 marks the beginning of Jamis' adventure with  bicycle production. In 1983 the world saw its first mountain bike - Jamis' Dakota model which has been produced until today. In 1998, the first road bicycles - Quest and Eclipse saw the light. Since the brand was founded, its mission statement has been "our ultimate goal is to create a bike we would like to ride.'' Every year Jamis' bikes are awarded by the prestigious trade magazines. In 2009 the company entered the Polish market.
