Plans for the cycling tourism development in Poland and in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship will be discussed in Kielce by the 10-member parliamentary committee. MEPs will start their visit from the opening ceremony. The next day they will take in the tour along the GREEN VELO route
The International Fair of Bicycle Industry Kielce Bike - Expo is the whole bike industry's most awaited event. Exhibitors from all corners of the world use the Kielce expo as the stage for state-of-the-art equipment, accessories and market novelties galore. The expo starts this Thursday and continues until Saturday (21-23 September). Last year's hosted over 8 thousand guests. This year's expo promises to break its own record. The 2017’s expo is graced with the presence of the members of the Committee for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired by Ireneusz Raś. MEP’s will also join the expo.
The visit starts on Thursday at 10 am; the opening ceremony is the first point on the agenda. The MEP's will the meet the members of the Polish Cycling Association and industry insiders. Plans for the cycling tourism development in Poland and in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship will also be discussed. Right after Friday's press-briefing the MEP's will ride along the 15-kilometre stretch of the Green Velo Eastern Bike Trail 57.
The Green Velo Eastern Bike Trail is the most spectacular bicycle project, which has been realized in Poland until now. It encompasses more than 2,000 km of specially designed routes (main route is 1887.5 km, the side and linking routes: 192 km in total). The route links the five voivodships of Eastern Poland (Warmia&Mazuria, Podlaskie, Lubelskie, Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie).
