The Polish Cycling Association, bikemonitor.pl and PZU Insurance Company launch a unique program targeted at cyclists
Starting from September, those who buy bikes have the option to registering their new machines free of charge on the Polish Cycling Association website - bikemonitor.pl. Registration possible within the next 13 months since the date of purchase. Such web-site registration increases the chance of recovering a stolen bike and also offers a cyclist many other useful functionalities.
One of the main registration advantages is a preferential insurance programme offered by - PZU and its “A Safe Bicycle” scheme. The programme means comprehensive insurance coverage comprised of the accident insurance, civil liability insurance, own-damage insurance and luggage insurance. Owing to the personal accident insurance, a cyclist or their children, if they travel together, will receive the necessary support should and of them suffer in an accident. The third-party liability of the bicycle owners comes handy if the owner causes damage to someone. Casco - the own-damage insurance, on the other hand offers full bicycle protection (this includes e-booster bikes) and its equipment in the event of an accident, fortuitous events, robbery, theft (including a parking place when a bike was in use - a theft from a street, a park, etc.). “A Safe Bicycle” it also protects the cyclist's luggage if it is damaged or lost.
Other interesting solutions a cyclist can use, having registered on the bikemonitor.pl website include a virtual service log-book that provides a reliable ownership information and service history for prospective buyes of a particular bike. The website can also be used as a networking platform, because a cyclist can contact other bicycles users as well as identify special risk spots, large-scale theft areas and warn others cyclists. The service can also be used to report a bike theft. The bikemonitor.pl lists stores that offer the free bike registration.
More detailed information about the programme can be obtained at the KIELCE BIKE-EXPO Central and Eastern Europe’s largest bicycle exhibition held from 13 to 15 September.
PZU has prepared a special zone for where the expo guests meet experts and obtain a thorough description of the PZU “A Safe Bicycle” programme. And there is much more than that - two-wheelers fans can enjoy numerous attractions. VR glasses transfers them onto a virtual Tour de Pologne route . The best virtual- cyclists can win attractive bike gadgets.
