COMPETITION SESSION IS NOW OVER

The first stage of the "Przy Kominku" Festival

Friday night at the Targi Kielce Congress Centre - atmosphere of artistic competition and good music. The festival competition staged 13 bands and soloists from all corners of Poland. The artists competed in the two categories. In the tourist song category there are 4 bands. Poetic song was the competition of the 5 bands and 4 soloists. Each contestant had the opportunity to present two songs - a part of their vast repertoire.

The skills were evaluated by the jury panels composed of, inter alia  Jerzy Filar - one of the "Kraina Łagodności" - lyrical-genre creators and musicians and Janusz Deblessem - the author of the iconic Polish Radio programme - "With the Guitar and the Pen" and Andrzej Mochoń PhD - Targi Kielce President of Board. The judges had a really hard nut to crack.

- This year's Competition Session entrants are strong competitors - you can hear how mature their music is. -  said Marek Mikos, director of TVP Kielce, one of the jury panel members.

Once the Competition Session in Targi Kielce was over, we moved on to the "Plejada" club for the festival afterparty.  The shanty concert of "Old Mariners'' band and Zbigniew Siuda and Jerzy Filar recitals ended the first day of the " Przy Kominku" Festival.

Today, that is  5 December the event continues - the Laureates Gala Concert is staged in Targi Kielce's Congress Centre.   "Siudma Gura" band which combines poetry, folk and classic sounds as well as Słodki Całus od Buby will be performing.  The Gala Concert starts at 5.

The "Summers' Tastes and Shapes" Rural Market and the "Eco - Bazaar" designed to promote regional products are the event focal point.
