DUAL EDUCATION AS A REMEDY FOR THE LABOUR MARKET

The teaching system and mentality call for changes that to ensure that graduation from a technical or a vocational school would not be worse than a university diploma Said the Świętokrzyskie Regional Chief Education Officer Kazimierz Mądzik at the inauguration of the "Vocational Education in a Dual System" Conference

The Thursday's event at Targi Kielce is exclusively devoted to the vocational training issues in Poland.  - The labour market has changed.  There is no employer's market, this is an employee's market. Many business lines are already short of professionals. Employers can continue regular business operation because Poland has become an attractive place for foreigners seeking for jobs.  The general thinking that everyone should graduate a higher education institution is a misconception  -said the Kazimierz Mądzik, the Regional Chief Education Officer.

The dual-type education offers a great chance for the schooling system.

Vocational training in the dual system is a solution to the problem,   therefore it was extensively discussed at the conference held on Thursday in Targi Kielce.

In addition to the Regional Chief Education Officer in Kielce, the session has been organised by the Świętokrzyskie Voivode, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Krakow and the Targi Kielce. Germany is the country which boasts the world's most acclaimed dual-type vocational education.  - Dual education has been successfully implemented and developed in Germany for many years.  This is a combination of vocational training in a workplace and at schools. This ensures development of well qualified staff - stresses Michael Groß, the Federal Republic of Germany's consul general.

Forum focussed on innovations in education

This is not the end education focused events held in Targi Kielce. The 2nd European Education Forum - New Technologies & Innovations in Education is held on Friday, 24 November.  The event is complemented with exhibitors' booths which serve as a presentation platform for a variety of educational offerings.
