This is a mysterious name for remotely controlled, printed tanks tournament. Vehicles are half a meter long and reach breakneck speed of 13 km / h. The models are a faithful mock-ups of miniature Goliath tanks, one of the world's first remote-controlled vehicles.

The tournament is organized by Monkeyfab SC, in cooperation with the Reconstruction Technology Office of Historical Vehicle Engineering, Vertigo FPV and the Spectrum Filaments.

 

The race will dd extra splendour and thrill to the 3D Printing Days held within the scope of STOM. Organizers are sure that participants and all spectators will have a great and terrific fun.

The organisers hit on idea about six months ago; in the last three months the 20 Monkeyfab Prime3D machines have been used to materialise the idea. Documentation of a historic tank was made available the BR-TZIP company, the control system provided by Vertigo FPV, and all printed elements are made of excellent Spectrum Filaments.

  

The tournament is open for all exhibitors and participants of the 2016's 3D Printing Days staged in Targi Kielce. Prior registration required.  Applications should be sent via e-mail to:  tankrace@monkeyfab.com

 

DETAILS OF THE EVENT

  • The maximum number of participants in the tournament - 63.
  • The tournament lasts about 4-6 hours.
  • The aim is to beat all competitors in race-against-the-time competition  or by eliminating competitors in the course of the race - anything goes!
  • The tournament consists of several races.
  • Three participants take part in one race.
  • The winner of a race continues in consecutive races.
  •  Prizes of Monkeyfab Tank Race - Cups for the first 3 places and drivers certificates. The main prize - a Grand Gold Cup.
  • In the course of the tournament, race-times of individual players are also considered.
  • The final race will be the competition of best- drivers in the last qualifying round.

Due to the limited strength of the printed elements and vehicles' unusual speed, the tournament may finish earlier than expected.
