Mars rover - a highlight of Targi Kielce's educational festival

The first European Education Forum and the accompanying Expo of Technologies & Equipment for Education held in Targi Kielce feature Mars rover. The rover was created by the Impuls Team from Kielce University of Technology; it came second at this year's third European Rover Challenge 2016

The first European Education Forum - New Technologies & Innovations in Education is held in Targi Kielce from 5 to 7 October 2016.  This is one-stop-shop to bring forward innovative approach to learning and training, schools, kindergartens, universities and educational centres. The two-day forum boasts the biggest names of the educational world, including Jacek Pyżalski PhD. Engineer Janusz Morbitzer PhD and professor Bogusław Śliwerski PhD. They will reveal the secrets of effective, twenty-first century education.  The event's problem-focused part will be enhanced with the Expo of Technologies & Equipment for Education - 1,000 sqm exhibition area   will be the showcase for more than 60 companies. Interactive carpets, educational toys, systems and software for schools, kindergartens and university management  - these are just some of the innovations put on display at the exhibition.

Products on display and nearly 40 admission-free workshops and... Impuls Team from Kielce University of Technology.  Students will boast Martian rover's capabilities; the rover came second at the 3rd European Rover Challenge 2016. The competition was held in Jasionka, near Rzeszów; 23 teams from 7 countries, including 15 Polish teams were the competition entrants. Raptors team of the Lodz Technical University were pronounced the winner; Canadian students from McGill Queens University in Kingston were third.

The winners of this year's European Rover Challenge competitions are:

  1. Raptors Team - Technical University of Lodz,
  2. Impuls Team - Kielce University of Technology
  3. McGill Team - Queens University, Montreal.
