The EDUKACJA trade fair opening ceremony was held in the Targi Kielce's Congress Centres' Omega Hall; the function brought together the representatives of the Voivodeship's authorities, managers of the schooling system of all levels, educational superintendents from all over Poland, teachers, exhibitors and pupils who have also been invited to the expo.

"This expo has become a permanent fixture of the calendar and the Voivodeship's landscape indispensable element - said Małgorzata Muzoł, Swietokrzyskie EducationalSuperintendent - Targi Kielce is the only place where teachers can meet every year, take part in a whole array of conferences and workshops, become familiar and discuss the changes schools undergo every year, how pupils and their needs and expectations evolve."

"There are numerous book trade fairs in our country. There is also a large number of expos which serve as a display for educational centres - we come across them in every place. However there is only one expo which has existed for 19 years and has brought together education publishing houses, school solution and equipment providers and producers and teachers. I hope that EDUKACJA will retain its form and character for many years; thus we shall be able to weather all kinds of upheavals" - said Piotr Dobrołęcki, EDUKACJA Programme Board's Chairman. He was refering to the dificult situation the publishing houses are facing owing to the changes designed by the Ministry of Education.

EDUKACJA expo brings together over 100 exhibitors - authors, school books publishers, school equipment producers and suppliers, representatives of educational centres. The expo is complemented with 40 conferences, training sessions, workshops and special education and fun zones. These has been crafted around the youngest visitors.

This year's three-days' expo is held until 28th March.
