Closed Circuit Economy management discussed at EKOTECH
The programme of 17th International Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo encompasses a number of conferences and workshops. Industry insiders and entrepreneur are thus introduced into trends and issues they have to face.
In order to meet their needs, the EKOTECH conference programme expands to include new elements.
The "Closed Circuit Economy" conference will focus on the management system for different types waste in Poland in relation to the closed-circuit economy requirements and objectives.
Closed circuit economy - what is its objective?
In contrast to the economic model based on a "take - process - dispose", the closed circuit economy aims to maintain the value of the materials and energy used in products as long as possible and thus minimise generation of waste and the resources consumption. This management type creates economic opportunities and provides a strong competitive advantage by preventing a loss of value associated with materials flow.

The conference speakers' presentations provide comprehensive information on the use of raw materials, products and waste and how it may enhance and support energy savings and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. The conference speakers list includes: Professor Andrzej Wojciechowski - President of the Polish Scientific Association for Recycling, Engineer Jarosław Stankiewicz MsC, Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining.
Europe's new strategy
Such measures are a part of the new European Commission's strategy announced at the end of 2015, referred to as closed circuit economy. The value of products, materials and resources is maintained as long as possible and waste generation is minimised.
Discussions about the new EU policies and the role of national actors are essential for companies competitiveness increase, with a special focus upon especially SMEs. This will have an impact international markets and economy.
The "Closed Circuit Economy" conference is held on 31 March 2016 in Kielce; the event has been granted the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Development.
