Deputy Prime Ministers Elżbieta Bieńkowska and Janusz Piechociński among the Convention speakers
The first Republic of Poland Marshals' Convention is chaired by the Swietokrzyskie head; the leading theme of the session on investment finance in the new financial perspective 2014 - 2020 with a special focus on science - economy bonds. On 6th and 7th February Kielce was the venue for the Convention which brought together the Marshals of 16 Voivodeships. Elżbieta Bienskowska and Janusz Piechociński as well as Janusz Lewandowski - the European Union Budget and Financing Programming Commissioner, the Republic of Poland Ambassador to UE Marek Prawda and the Minister of Science and Higher Eduction Lena Kolarska Bobińska, the Minister of Employment and Social Policy Władysław Kosiniak – Kamysz will also be the guests of the Convent. Within the scope of Swietokrzyskie Presidency over the Republic of Poland Marshals' Convention there will be three sessions held in Kielce, Busko-Zdrój and Sandomierz. The self-government representatives from 16 Voivodeships commence their session on 6th February in Targi Kielce. The event will also bring together European Union representatives, delegates of the state government and non-governmental organisations, scientific and business milieus.
- This is a real honour and distinction to host the three sessions of the Marshals' gathering. We shall try to produce the best possible views, regulatory provisions and stand-points; these will help us to make us of the European Union's financial resources - says Kazimierz Kotowski - a member of the Swietokrzyskie Regional Government. The leading theme of the first session held in Targi Kielce is investment finance in the new financial perspective 2014 - 2020 with a special focus on science The first session day focuses on the present day and the designed support instruments for entrepreneurship enhancement. This part of the discussion will include presentation of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy Janusz Peichociński followed by the presidents of the key governmental agencies which deal in economy - Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency S.A. The second day of the session will focus upon the broadly defined innovativeness and particularly on the smart specialisation strategy implemented within the scope of the present financial perspectieve by the European Comission. Presentations will be delivered by, inter alia Janusz Lewandowski - the European Union Budget and Financing Programming Commissioner, the Republic of Poland Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to UE Marek Prawda, the Minister of Employment and Social Policy Władysław Kosiniak – Kamysz, the Minister of Science and Higher Education Lena Kolarska Bobińska.
The role of the media in local identity development will also be discussed. The Convention will be accompanied with the Regional Forum for Smart Specialisations which associates representatives of marshal Offices from all over Poland.
