Papal session during CHEMSS 2016

The session which focuses on Pope Francis' encyclical "Laudato si - Be praised," which will be chaired by  Rogelio Francisco Emilio Pfirter  will be held on April 20 in Targi Kielce; this is supposed to be an inspiration for further efforts to enhance chemical and environmental safety and security. This is the first encyclical in the Church' history entirely dedicated to natural environment protection. "Laudato si - Be praised" is where Pope Francis points out that man is part of nature and depends on it. Present day threats to environment call for a strong "ecological conversion."   A panel discussion which brings together representatives of the Church, including Pope Francis' friend and secular activists will focus on the Pope's teaching on environment protection. The participants will consider Christian tradition and practice which favour greater commitment to environment protection.
