China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) is a partner of CHEMSS 2016

The International Centre for Chemical Safety and Security (ICCSS) in Warsaw (Poland) is the world's leader in enhancement of chemical safety and security. ICCSS hosted the delegation from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) - one of China's leading industrial organisations. During their visit to Poland, on 26 November the CPCIF representatives participated in the Warsaw-Beijing seminar devoted to chemical hazards reduction.  They also held meetings with the Polish authorities and industry representatives as well as paid a visit to Puławy Science-Technology Park and the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal.

The Chinese partners have also confirmed their participation in the preparation process as well as in the global summit for chemical safety and security accompanied with international trade fair - these will be held in Kielce on 18-20 April 2016 (www.chemss2016.org). 

The Warsaw-Beijing seminar was a continuation of the seminar on chemical risk reduction which had been held at the Polish Embassy in Beijing on 13 July 2015. The meeting initiated a practical cooperation between Polish and Chinese partners in the field of chemical and environmental safety and security. The seminar mainly focused on strengthening the Polish-Chinese cooperation for friendly use of chemicals. The speakers' main messages related to initiatives implemented by ICCSS within the framework of international programs, China's policy designed to promote chemical safety and security in a broad sense as well as new levels of cooperation and integration whose objective is to increase global chemical safety and security. 

Chinese partners agreed that increased safety and security requirements in Chinese industry need to be followed with efficient implementation of security standards and practices in production and use of dangerous chemicals.
