An experiments-focussed lecture at CHEMSS 2016
The Global Chemical Safety and Security Summit is held in Targi Kielce from 18 to 20 April 2016. This will be the platform for the knowledge and experience exchange in broadly defined chemical safety and security. Not only will industry insiders and specialist share their know-how; presentations will be complemented with a wide range of products and services put on display at the first CHEM-SAFETY-EXPO.
The trade fair programme also includes an experimental lecture organized by DENIOS - a market-leading solution provider for environment protection and work safety. The lecture has been designed is to illustrate the risks and awaken the consciousness of taking precautions when handling hazardous materials in industry, workshop and laboratory.
DENIOS expert will deliver a specialized lecture whose aim is to show risks associated with different substances interactions. A special attention will be paid to flammable materials properties; thus the audience will be familiarised with sources of the hazards related to improper materials storage. The lecture audience will also learn how to recognize potential hazards and how a proper code of conduct helps to avoid unwanted effects. All is needed is just one spark, which in combination with a small amount of flammable, hazardous materials may result in uncontrolled chain reactions. Participants will learn about remedial and protective measures.
The practical part will follow a theoretical introduction. The lecture includes several practical tests which demonstrate theories accuracy. Dust explosions, exothermic reaction, controlled small-scale fires and spontaneous combustion will be demonstrated in the course of the event. All experiments utilise very small quantities of hazardous materials; all the necessary precautions with regards persons and facilities protection will be taken.
The lecture is delivered by practitioners for practitioners, entrepreneurs and employees. Once you take part in the lecture, you will no treat flammable liquids and substances with respect.
Demonstrations will be staged every day from 18 to 20 April 2016, time: 11.00 to 11.45.
