735 pedigree pigeons, 677 racing pigeons and 1200 rabbits - the facts and figures for Targi Kielce's hobby exhibitions for animal lovers
Huge French Lop with the weight of almost 7 kilograms, white Hermelina- smaller than the palm of your hand these - these are just some of the breeds you can see at Świętokrzyskie Exhibition of Pedigree Rabbits. The 48th Regional Carrier Pigeons Exhibition brings together the fastest carrier pigeons from all over the country. This exhibition includes the charity auction - the fringe-event which boasts a long tradition. The action is to be held on Sunday, December 10. This year there is a record-breaking number of birds - 140 that have already been submitted for the charity. According to the Targi Kielce exhibition tradition, the auction objective is to raise money for the W. Buszkowski Świętokrzyskie Paediatrics Centre in Kielce which treats the youngest patients who suffer from oncological diseases. This year a part of the money raised will be transferred to benefit the Educational and Care Centre in Skarżysko-Kamienna. The Świętokrzyskie Exhibition of Pedigree Pigeons and Decorative Poultry has also generated an avid interest.
- Many people look for information about specific birds and breeding conditions - says Sebastian Król, the decorative poultry breeder from Bilcza - I think that this hobby will become even more popular among young people.
The exhibitions are open today until 18.00 and on Sundays from 8.00 to 15.00. We look forward to seeing you.
